Privacy Policy

Your privacy is central to how Bill of Sale Generator is built. This policy explains what we do — and, more importantly, what we don't do — with your information.

The short version

• The generator runs entirely in your browser. The names, addresses, prices, VINs, and other details you type into a bill of sale are never sent to our servers.
• No account, no signup. We don't ask for your email or create a profile for you.
• Analytics are off by default. We only load privacy-friendly analytics if you explicitly accept.

Information you enter into the tool

Everything you type into the bill of sale generator is processed locally in your browser. Drafts are saved using your browser's local storage, which lives only on your device — we cannot see it. You can clear it any time with the "Clear" button in the tool or by clearing your browser data. We do not transmit, collect, or store your document contents.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand, in aggregate, how the site is used so we can improve it. It is implemented with Google Consent Mode v2 and is disabled by default:

• No analytics cookies are set and no analytics scripts load until you click "Accept analytics" in our consent banner.
• If you decline, no analytics run at all.
• You can change your choice any time using the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer.
• Where enabled, analytics collect aggregate, de-identified usage data (such as pages viewed and approximate region) with IP anonymization. They do not receive your document contents.

The "save draft" feature uses local storage, not a tracking cookie, and works whether or not you accept analytics.

Payments

If you choose the optional premium upgrade, payment is processed by Razorpay, a third-party payment provider. Your card details are entered directly with Razorpay and are never seen or stored by us. We receive only confirmation that a payment succeeded so we can unlock your download. Razorpay's handling of your data is governed by its own privacy policy.

Hosting and server logs

This site is hosted on Netlify. Like virtually all web hosts, Netlify may automatically log standard technical request data (such as IP address and browser type) for security and reliability. This is standard server operation and is not used by us to identify you.

What we never do

• We never sell your data.
• We never store the contents of the documents you create.
• We never email you marketing — we don't collect your email in the first place.

Children

This site is intended for adults handling private sales and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy as the site evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above.
